EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The attached Ordinance accepts nine (9) Temporary Construction Easements from seven (7) property owners. The easements are necessary for the Sprigg Street improvements between William Street and Broadway, to provide the City’s contractor room to work during construction and to ensure grading can be correctly completed, resulting in a smooth transition from the new improvements to the existing grade.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Sprigg Street (William Street to Broadway) Project is one of several projects funded by the fifth Transportation Trust Fund (TTF 5), approved by voters in August 2015. This project will improve traffic flow on Sprigg Street and will re-configure the west side of the William Street intersection, repair existing pavement, replace damaged curb, repair damaged drainage structures and add a new asphalt surface. Sidewalks will be reconstructed to meet ADA requirements, street lights replaced with LED fixtures and streetscape elements will be added.
FINANCIAL IMPACT All Temporary Construction Easements have been donated. The project is funded through the Transportation Trust Fund 5.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
