SUBJECT
An Ordinance accepting thirteen (13) Temporary Construction Easements and two (2) Permanent Drainage Easements from various property owners, for the West End Boulevard-Rose to Bertling Project, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The attached Ordinance accepts thirteen (13) Temporary Construction Easements and two (2) Permanent Drainage Easements from various property owners. The easements are necessary for the Transportation Trust Fund 5 (TTF-5) West End Boulevard - Rose to Bertling Project .
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The West End Boulevard - Rose to Bertling Project is funded by Transportation Trust Fund 5 (TTF-5), which was approved by voters in 2015. This project will provide improved roadway, parking, and sidewalks along North West End Boulevard from Rose Street to Bertling Street. The easements are necessary to grant the City the right to excavate, build, maintain, construct, operate, and repair drainage improvements to be constructed with the project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
All Temporary Construction Easements and Permanent Drainage Easements have been donated.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council approve the attached Ordinance accepting the thirteen (13) Temporary Construction Easements and two (2) Permanent Drainage Easements for the West End Boulevard - Rose to Bertling Project.
