SUBJECT
An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a quit claim deed to release permanent water line easements to Drury Land Development, Inc. for 240-250 Silver Springs Road, for the Goodwill Water Line Project, First Reading.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Permanent water line easements were obtained from Drury Land Development, Inc. in order to excavate, build, construct, operate, maintain and repair underground water facilities constructed initially to service 240-250 Silver Springs Road, for the Goodwill Water Line Project, in Cape Girardeau, MO. The water utility infrastructure was subsequently built outside of the originally dedicated easement area.  Therefore the original easements will be released via quit claim deed and the new (corrected) easements will be accepted in their place by separate item on this agenda.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a quit claim deed to release permanent water line easements to Drury Land Development, Inc. for 240-250 Silver Springs Road (Goodwill), in Cape Girardeau.
