SUBJECT
Ordinance adopting appropriation of unappropriated General Fund monies for the Demolition of Condemned Buildings, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Cape Girardeau has unappropriated General Fund monies which will be used for the demolition of condemned buildings which was information not available during the budget process for 2022-2023. This ordinance would appropriate the following expenditures related to these funds:
$125,000 to cover the demolition of buildings condemned and awaiting demolition.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION This ordinance would appropriate the amount of $125,000 to pay for the demolition of condemned buildings in the City of Cape Girardeau.
FINANCIAL IMPACT The entire amount of this appropriation will be covered by unappropriated General Fund monies with no impact on other funds.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION It is recommended this ordinance be adopted for an appropriation for the payment of the above services.
